October 18th turned out to be a beautifully, warm, fall day at County Jewel in Anderson County, Tennessee. If you've never seen the country version of Cinderella, then you are in for a treat. Bree and Ernie met while she was on a trip to Texas to visit her sister. She was a Senior in high school. After begging her for a dance, it seemed like the trip was over and she was headed back to Michigan. After keeping in touch, they were both in her sisters wedding over Labor day weekend at that time he asked her to be his girlfriend. A year into their relationship, Ernie was deployed to Afghanistan. After months of no communication, the news reported two US soldiers were killed. As it turned out, one of the soldiers was a friend of Ernies - he was only a few yards away. As promised, Ernie came home a few months later. Ernie proposed to Bree the night of the Army ball. One knee, Dress Blues, everything. Wedding planning began! She finished her degree in Michigan, Ernie finished up his time in the Army. Bree's grandmother is a Master Florist and provided all the flowers for their wedding. Country Jewel is a beautiful venue nestled away in Anderson County complete with a stream running through it, a few waterfalls, a small chapel and a refurbished barn to host receptions. Her beautiful Cinderella gown was provided by David's Bridal and Alicia's Alterations added champagne tulle to her dress and created her veil with a ton of small jewels that glistened in the sun. Electric Light and Sound provided the music and their cake and cupcakes were baked by Glenda Jenkins in her home. Bree's dad made the amazing cake and cupcake stand. The delicious BBQ was catered by Buddy's BBQ and Bree and her mother canned all the apple butter which was passed out as party favors. The decorations were done by family - a lot of pumpkins, candles and fall flowers provided the backdrop that they wanted. Congratulations to Bree & Ernie! I wish you a lifetime of happiness and I am so glad to have been a part of your special day!
